My pictures taken during the filming of the Transformers 3 movie in downtown Chicago last July, 2010. Its nice to witness the controlled chaos in a 3-block area of Wacker Drive in Chicago during the filming. We saw multiple choppers from Chicago Police (the blue ones) and different media outlets, multiple first responder vehicles from police squad cars, SWAT vans, ambulances, fire trucks etc. The center of attraction is the wreckage, turned upside down CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) bus. Support crew and personnel are everywhere as well as signs used for filming and for nosy people like us. Watch out for these scenes during the movie which is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011. The last picture is a glimpse of Lake Michigan from the our hotel room.
The Youth Olympic Games 2010 (YOG) is an international multi-sport event first held in Singapore opening August 14, 2010 and scheduled to last 12 days until August 26. The games are planned to be held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format. The Youth Olympic Games will feature athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. The idea for such an event was introduced by International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge in 2001. On July 6, 2007, IOC members at the 119th IOC session in Guatemala City approved the creation of a youth version of the Olympic Games.
Iloilo City is located at the southern part of Panay Island in the Visayas region. It has a land area of 7,023 hectares or 70.23 square kilometer. The people are called Ilonggos. Their amiable faces embody a beautiful culture. They speak pleasing voices that echo a proud past. Their warm character irrors a scenic countryside. Such are the Ilonggos, a humble people with a rich heritage. They are the prime treasures of Iloilo, a historic and celebrated place.
