Lets HANGOUT in the Town of Janiuay during the Festival of Lights!

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS , a month- long celebration which usually start every 2nd week of December. It is a dazzling desplay of  multi-colored lights festoon like a million garlands the expanse of the town square lending the scene with an enchanted, fairy-land air.

The festival kicked off with a parade around the poblacion ending at the Janiuay Auditorium at the town plaza, followed by Eucharistic Mass. Then the switching of lights followed. It was at this point when the crowd, as though on cue, lapsed into a single, cavernous silence, and then at the sudden burst of light, gave out one great sigh of relief.

Entertaining numbers on the opening program brought back the festive air, and then the following nights will be a series of musical and cultural presentations sponsored by the different government/non-government agencies, a thrilling gymnastic show, and dance and singing competitions.

The festival culminates in Search for Miss Festival of Lights.
